Hi,
I’m on vacation now.
As you read this, my family and I probably will be having dinner.
Vacations have lots of benefits. Let me share a few with you:
1) Perspective. There are so many more important things in life than work. A vacation gives you a chance to detach yourself from your day-to-day grind, and to think about what is truly important in life. When you align yourself with what is truly important, you will be amazed how easily things fall into place.
2) Relaxation. A vacation breaks your day-to-day routine and gives you a chance to recharge your batteries.
3) Stress management. Vacations are an ultimate way to manage stress. Many people are almost addicted to work. Hence the term workaholic. What some of these people might not realize is the damage and stress their work is causing across all areas of their life.
4) Meeting new people. Spending time with like-minded people can create lasting friendships and relationships and new opportunities.
5) Testing your freedom business. Vacations are a great way to figure out how to make your businesses operate smoothly without you. You have a freedom business when your business generates a passive income stream without you being at the wheel. If you’re in doubt about how much of your business you’ve automated and how close you are to freedom, one way to test this in practice is to take a vacation and measure what still needs attention.
6) Education. If we are not constantly growing, we are dieing. A vacation can satisfy that part of you that wants to grow and learn something new. This could be learning anything from wine tasting to sailing, from cooking to learning a new language.
7) Decision-making. A vacation can be just what you need to make important decisions. Any expert will tell you not to make a major decision when you are feeling distressed, tired or anxious. This is kind of like avoiding going grocery shopping when you’re hungry. When you are calm and relaxed, you have clearer judgment. The net result is you can make better decisions.
Book your next vacation to improve your work, your mind, your relationships and health!
Ciao,
Taylor
