Do You Fish Or Cut Bait?

Hi,

Some friends of mine are huge Star Wars fans in the real sense of the word. At couple of them can quote nearly every word in the original movie. I don’t know if that’s good or bad… One thing for sure, they both have good memories.

But it doesn’t take a fan to appreciate some of the lessons in Star Wars. Take this one, from Yoda…

“Do, or do not. There is no try.”

When I go thru some of the feedback on my intern program, I can’t help thinking about Yoda’s advice.

It’s interesting to see how interns behave.

Some can barely complete a task without asking half a dozen questions.

Others act like they’re serious and fall off the radar as they revert back to their non-productive habits and routines.

All of the above should listen to Yoda… either they care enough about their future or they don’t.

If Yoda doesn’t do it for them, maybe they’d get the expression “Fish or cut bait.”
