Hi,
I’ve mentioned before how having “eyeballs” (aka traffic) is one of the 3 pillars of a successful Internet business.
You can have the greatest product in the world, but if nobody knows about it, you won’t make money online.
Put another way, if you have a product or a service that people want and you also have somewhat appealing sales copy, all you need is traffic to that site and sales are sure to follow.
If I’ve held your attention so far great, because I will speak to procedures for getting traffic at some point in the near future.
For now, why don’t we assume that you already have some traffic… because you know that new subscribers trickle into your ezine or online newsletter or because once every now and then you sell another copy of that ebook.
At this point you might be nodding in agreement because this sounds like you.
So what do you do in this situation? Two things come to mind…
First, good job getting some traffic and converting that traffic. Second, study that traffic so you can a) get more traffic, and b) convert more clicks to profits.
What do I mean by “study” that traffic? That’s simple… I mean start using Google Analytics.
When you use Google Analytics, you’ll be able to do things like find out how your visitors locate your Web site, discover what keywords your visitors type in to find your Web site, identify which pages and links your visitors click the most and more. All of which will help you get more traffic and convert more of it to profits.
